Tiki drinks are making a big comeback. They’re not just for your tropical vacation anymore. These are great drinks to serve at parties – like the Super Bowl! Make a big batch and let your guests serve themselves.
The original Zombie Cocktail was created in 1934. While the original mixture was kept secret, it frequently changed until it was just right. Soon, the public got a hold of a recipe for this delicious creation. Nearly eight decades years later, we’ve made it better again. This bold, tiki-themed mix of tropical treats has enough crazy flavors to bring even a zombie to life.
Zombie
2 parts BACARDI Superior Rum
1 1/3 parts BACARDI Gold Rum
1 part triple sec
2 parts sweet and sour mix
2 parts orange juice
1 part grenadine (or blue curacao)
Instructions
Shake ingredients with ice. Pour into tall glass over ice. Garnish with fresh fruit.
You could use Blue Curacao to represent the “other” team. I guess.
Bacardi White Rum – 91 PTS WINE ENTHUSIAST. This is clean and classic, from the citrusy aroma to the light, crisp flavor, with endnotes of ginger and coriander. Add handfuls of mint, and stir up a pitcher of mojitos.
Bacardi Gold Rum – BRONZE MEDAL 2007 SAN FRANCISCO SPIRITS COMPETITION. Golden amber in color from oak aging. Hints of caramel and vanilla are present in the nose. The finish is nicely balanced.
